Mission Statement

The Michigan Color Guard Circuit, Inc. (MCGC) was founded in 1975 to draw together the growing winter color guard activity, providing leadership and guidance. Our circuit continues to grow with a membership of approximately 100 indoor guard and percussion units.

The Michigan Color Guard Circuit is a WGI sanctioned competing organization. We have many experienced members, staff, instructors and judges that continue to build and add to the talent level of color guard and percussion in the state of Michigan and the surrounding areas.

All MCGC contests provide divisions of competition specifically for:

LOCAL – groups who compete only on a local level
Flag Line
Auxiliary
Regional A
AAA / AA
Collegiate
Indoor Band

INDEPENDENT – groups who can compete in developmental levels defined as:
A Class
Open Class
World Class

SCHOLASTIC – offered to units whose membership comes from the same High School or schools that feed into that particular High School
A Class
Open Class
World Class
Concert Class (percussion only)
